Day 6: Libraries and Sweets

I almost always use wire bound sketchbooks because they are guaranteed to lay flat, but I gave a shot at this hardbound one (Stillman and Birn Zeta) because I hear they can lay flat with some coaxing. I’m soon to find out…

Art Square Gallery and Cafe (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
I think this is the first time I incorporated a stranger into my urban sketches when I am traveling. It was stressful, but they didn’t really look up from their phone after they sat down. I like how the hands turned out as well.

Royal Ontario Museum (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
I did not get to see the Chihuly exhibit because it hadn’t opened yet, but the tattoo one was very impressive!

ROM stands for Royal Ontario Museum, located in Toronto, Canada. It is absolutely massive and had a TON of stuff. They had artifacts from around the world as well as fossils!
