Modifying your tools is addictive
I learned that an art store near me sells my favorite brand of brushes, so I went the other weekend. I prefer oil and acrylic brushes, but usually they only come in long handles at the store. Since most brushes are made of just wood, I took to cutting them down to a comfortable length over the years, so they can fit in my pencil case and it’s more manageable with gouache/casein/watercolors.
For those who want to tell me that Rosemary & Co sell short handled brushes, they do. But since I bought these in stores, they only had the long handled ones in stock for the line I wanted.
